I use mixing software to mix my music, so I do not consider myself a full fledged DJ at all. Just to get that clarified. I have a lot of love for electronic music i.e. trance, techno, house, hardcore and gabber. So I hope you enjoy this first part to my Megamix, which I put into 10 minute segments. This is an old school hardcore and gabber mix I made. Tunes range from the early through mid to late 90’s! Enjoy!

A few basic mixes on VDJ. I’ve just added a laptop to my 1210 setup, and wouldn’t advise using this software as an alternative to real decks. Its just a good simple way to get started as its the easiest software for beginners. I’ve used a few cheats like sync button in order to demonstrate, plus I only had one soundcard at time. I now have time coded vinyl which in some ways is better than using the CDJ’s. If you have 3 or more technics making one of them time coded allows you to easily get most songs and still play them in a similar way to vinyl. I would advise using this software along side decks when playing live but it can be unreliable so don’t rely solely on it.

This was just a way for me to pass a few hours of boredom. Yes, I WAS bored. No, I’m not trying to “prove” anything - that this is what I’m “capable of”. I just thought I’d upload my music as a video here, to YouTube. I’m not the one who spread it around to Digg or random blogs, - I uploaded it here at YouTube some time back in December 2007 and it has only just “taken off”, after all.

If the extended version above gives you problems - such as cutting off at the end, because the duration was miscalculated (appears to happen with iTunes?), then I’ve made this constant bitrate version, as an alternative to the variable bitrate version above. This will fix the cutting off and miscalculation of the duration, but is a little unnecessarily large and is a little lower quality than VBR (but highest possible when using CBR).

Hi electronic music lovers out there. I want to give you a little view behind the scenes of our music productions. This project is very special in this case!
We got a little discussion with some guys about music production and what programs suits.

After talking about the usual progs like, Cubase, Logic, Ableton those guys really said… FL Studio won´t fit in this case of professional music production software…..

Have to say we also use other progs the main time because of several reasons but not because of the widely spread myth “FL Studio got a bad audio quality”…! Because I´m a “FL Studio lover” of the early days (I would never had started making music without FL), and this “MYTH” I want to prove the power of this program to those who got no idea what they are talking about and also to check our producing skills! So we decided to produce this whole track in FL Studio ONLY this time!

If you know how… there is no problem of creating professional music with FL.
