Audio Production Software

I just bought a usb condenser microphone and I was wondering which software i should get. i want to record some acoustic and maybe electric guitar and maybe some vocals. i dont want anything to fancy or complicated, just complicated enough so i can have all the effects i want, like an egualizer compressor, reverb and some other stuff. thanks

if you have a mac…get garage band if your on a windows you could try logic studio
