Which ones are the best and why? Are there any other ones that are good as well?
According to your software choice, i prefer FL Studio not because i like it or use and and i don’t use Reason and Acid (I used all of the above softwares). The reason is this…..it is easy to use and supports most of anything mentioned in Cubase, Protools, Mixcraft etc, you create your own sounds, songs, beats, loops etc….comes with many effects where you can tweak sounds to get perfect quality sounds….u’ll get the hang of it.
Ok Reason rely more on hardware so it is best to have a midi keyboard in order to get the best use out of it….sound quality is way better, comes with its own sound factory with different a format. so reasons sounds just for reason….u know what i mean? although its possible to use sounds from reason with other software through rewire, etc…..thats another story
Acid relies more on loops, although you dont have to have loops, it is best for someone with bunch of loops ready for mixing. doesnt come with sounds, loops….u have to get them seperately. this software i use for remix most of the time.

Acoustica Mixcraft. Best bang for the buck, and easy imports for like autotune, and all that.

Cubase and pro tools are the bees knees. you can add lots of effects plug ins and vst instruments like drum machines and synths. There studio quality used to record live music like guitars, vocals and so on….
