hey question, I …
hey question, I tried connecting the 1/4″ stereo out from my mixer directly to the mini jack on my computer (I have a 1/4″ to 3.5mm jack converter). But I’m getting really poor sound quality. Why is that? Do you think if I buy the red and white to 3.5mm cord it will be much better??? any insight would be great thanks

hi i would like to …
hi i would like to replace my usb audio interface with a mixer so that i could record more tracks at a time and eq each sound going into my daw.
1) is that possible?
2) if so what mixers would you recommend (preferably mixers on the cheaper side).
i also heard that usb mixers are limited to recording only 2 tracks at once so should i use firewire instead?

Hi.
I was …
Hi.
I was wondering, do you get a better quality sound by plugging a guitar amp straight into a ‘line in’ on a computer?
Or is it better to go through a mixer and then into the ‘line in’?
I imagine the sound quality can only be as good as the ‘line in’ will let it, regardless of what mixing equipment you put in front of it? Or am i wrong?
Thanks

I use this alot, …
I use this alot, the BIGGEST problem that I have is that I get alot of static from the Mic, Im getting an USB interface thingy-do-bob-it so hopefully Ill finaly rid myslef of that damned sound, but if not then its my crappy mics (if someone else has this problem using this method maby this comment will help em out) but sometimes you can cancel out the static in “Sound Audicy” by using he “Noise Filter” but otherwise I have yet to find a good way to cancel it out

i don’t really understand what is really necessary. So if i buy a mic that connects with a USB would the sound quality suck? i want to make hip hop songs. the software i would be using is FL Studio. If i have a Mixer does that give me more options and what would the options be? And if there was a set up for recording you know that would work well please tell me but im on a very cheap budget.
