✔★★☛How to sample in reason NNXT using free wave software

http://www.myspace.com/originalbunglist
Check my channel for music I have made, subscribe if u like. feel free to comment rate friend req etc, just wanna get my stuff heard!! ;) Tutorial on how to put samples in music using reason NNXT NN-XT and Goldwave a free wave editor. Good for sampling vocals in jungle Drum and bass, dubstep, garage, house, trance, techno, electro, hip hop, pretty much any sort of tune in any dance orientated genre, also good for recording individual beats and creating loops with individual snares and kick drums etc. use this advice to cut sounds / samples from pretty much any source, radio, TV records vynyl, tape, microphone acapellas. you may need to play and pause this vid to keep up. As mentioned in the video, soundforge is a good main editor, mainly because it has time stretch and expand meaning you can speed up or slow down vocals to match your song and it doesnt go chipmonk style. There are other ways to sample, this is just the way I prefer and am used to. If anyone notice I went a long way round something please comment, I may have done it on purpose or I may not know. Liitle Tip for any really new users,…….
++++++++++++ right click on the nnxt and create reverb and DDL delay line for some nice easy effects.

============== you can also use this if you are sampling individual beats and you dont just want to use the maximum of 10 that the redrum gives you. How to use samples in my music on reason 1 reason 2 reason 3 reason 4. Hopefully this helps. DON’T FORGET TO CHECK MY CHANNEL.

if its mic ffrom laptop that probably is only made for web chat sort of quality so i doubt u’ll get a decent recording from it at all, the stuff on the video is recorded from the pc to pc not from external source (mic/decks etc). goldwave can record from external sources but you need to have a line in on back of pc/laptop, i used to use headphones as a mic on my old pc and was fine but again that was plugd into line in and fiddle round with volumes after recording

    u mean u are …
u mean u are recording from a mic?also is it a standard headphone in jack from the mic or is it a proper mic?, aint done much stuff lately wiv mic samples but used to plug into line in instead of mic ,on the back of the pc, it might just be that the record levels are too high on goldwave or the mic is too sensitive and its picking up loads of background noise, u can usually change the sensitivity but u’ll have to google that. goldwave will record a sound exaclly how it hears it hope dat helps!!

I’ve used the version from above 4 over a yr + haven’t noticed any virus problems, Ive used goldwave since the 90’s so there are obviously loads of others out there that are probably better but I can’t comment on those, if your worried, have a look at some music magazine sites and see if they recommend any other wave software. Yes Goldwave is completely free, they have a use limit per session but i just save and open up the file again, I also use soundforge which is better but its about £30

    do you mean pitch? …
do you mean pitch? the only way i can think is to keep loading or copy/paste the sample so that the “root key” moves with each sample, (the root key nob is on bottom right of led screen, it slects which key is the original pitch/tempo) you can try right click and i think its called set notes chronomatically or something like that - is it to make a drum kit or for a synth/bass? not really to sure what u need to do this for, i might be able to help better if u could explain a bit more…..

    peace

I’ve heard of it, but never used it, probably is fine, any wave editor is fine to use as long as you can record, cut/trim and mabye fade out/in, if its a demo or free version make sure u can save on it or u’ll be screwed, once u have chopped the sample u want and saved it everyhting else on the vid with reason nnxt is the same.
    peace

try closing that box it may just open anywway, it used to be 150 clicks per session but unlimited sessions but just had another look and it may have changed, all i can suggest is re-installing or look for another free / shareware wave program, there are hundreds but goldwave and soundforge are the only 2 programs I ever use for wave, most are similar to use and all u need is the record, play, cut and maybe fade out functions (and save!!!), the rest is all done in reason nnxt

    u gotta chop it …
u gotta chop it into the pieces you want in goldwave first, u dont have to use goldwave, its just 1 of the wave editors ive used and knew it was free, i usually use soundforge but u have to buy that (normally;). u can also save tunes you made etc through goldwave into mp3. to chop it just save the main whole voice sample, then move them bars above and either cut or clip, remember to “fade out” on the very end though or sometimes you end up with a ty clickin noise at the end ;)
