I also use MAGIX software, Music Maker http://www.magix.com/gb/music-software/, and Movie Edit Pro, http://www.magix.com/gb/video-editing/. There are trial versions available.

Try a free program called "Audacity" - just type that name into your favorite search engine and it will pop up. It is a full featured audio recording and editing program. It has effects but It does not have a library of pre-recorded tracks,. You can find tracks on the web - some are free, some you have to buy.

The main thing is the operational platform. Cubase works on Windows and Mac. So if you want it to have working on any device that device should definitely have one of these operational system.

good luck. NO FREE good software exists that will last beyond 5 days free.
u can try finding some on those etorrent sites but good luck. there are so many viruses and trojans I alaways steer clear. A good software program will run u like $150. I have a simple mixer that I use to mix sings for local club gigs. Nothing fancy, $200.
for your purposes u want something like protools where u layer sound and create beats. that’s like $250

it seems that you are a very beginner. so i would suggest that you go for these things.

1. fl studio- looks complex but if you can get a hang of it then you are a rock. but if you can’t handle this then forget about the others which are much more powerful than fl studio. there are good tuts on youtube.

2.adobe audition- this is best for audio editing. coz if you want to record vocals you will need this. it can remove the extra noise that comes while you are recording. it has many great options like dynamic compressor , phaser and many more. but this is a bit complicated and costly.

so you can try audacity instead of audition. audacity is completely free and a bit easy to use, not to mention it is also a powerful in its own use.

if i were you i would choose fl and audition(or audacity) coz they both make a good team.

I suggest go for adobe audition.If it is too heavy then go for cool edit pro,audacity etc..
