Hi electronic music lovers out there. I want to give you a little view behind the scenes of our music productions. This project is very special in this case!
We got a little discussion with some guys about music production and what programs suits.
After talking about the usual progs like, Cubase, Logic, Ableton those guys really said… FL Studio won´t fit in this case of professional music production software…..
Have to say we also use other progs the main time because of several reasons but not because of the widely spread myth “FL Studio got a bad audio quality”…! Because I´m a “FL Studio lover” of the early days (I would never had started making music without FL), and this “MYTH” I want to prove the power of this program to those who got no idea what they are talking about and also to check our producing skills! So we decided to produce this whole track in FL Studio ONLY this time!
If you know how… there is no problem of creating professional music with FL.
Wish you much fun with “Spiky (Session One Mix)”

i don’t think you …
i don’t think you understand FL studio is just raw, no sugar coating everything is raw.
The quality is excelent, this was not pre rendered/ mastered it’s real time.
FL studio is way ahead of the rest, it’s about ease of creativity.

This track is …
This track is really cool. I’m using Fruity Loops, too and I really like it. I have my Midi-Keyboard next to my computer and I try different sounds with it (e.g. 3xosc. with these 1000ands of knobs :D). I often try different melody loops, too. So I don’t think your creativity has to suffer under FL.
I may be just a beginner - yea - but I think, if you really want to produce professional tracks, you can do it. Even with Fruity loops.

dude look…this is good…serious don’t listen to any comments your arrangement is great and as you said it is an instrument which you have to learn to use…creativity is fully applicable here…good work…

… fast but if you …
… fast but if you really thinking about professional music the chain to the loop is a complete different.
if you use freeloops/complete loops you are very limited with eq-ing because with each tweak you change every instrument in this loop.
professional use, you eq every single drum sound seperated, put them together to a beat/more beatparts and the record it down to your own high quality beat which only needs minimal tweaks in the projekt.
i understand your opinion well… interest talk

you not have to be …
you not have to be sorry. we are only argu a bit about this topic.
acoustic drawbacks/inconvenients, have to disagree to that. even the best sample base etc you have to work over with eq-ing mixing feeling.
There is no pure sound you could use directly. to create a accoustic mixing which sounds good you need to have a clear view where you want to.
rock songs use different drum feelings than hip hop or dance music or pop. in this case we have to say loops are good things for working…

I just wanted to …
I just wanted to say that using FL is computerization with the shape of music even if it ask creativity.
And yes, i’m agree with the facts computers are like instruments and tools with settings etc … That’s why it can take so long to learn.

Sorry i didn’t …
Sorry i didn’t wanted to be rude, but i never said it’s not creativ, i even said “there is a part of creativity for sure”.
There are no acoustic drawbacks/inconvenients, all the sound are pure so by far easier to work with. i know a lot of people that are able to use freeloops to make this kind of music, but few of them can make an acoustic mix sounding good.

the sequencer is an …
the sequencer is an instrument. a instrument have to been know how to use so you could build what you are thinking about you want to build.
is it uncreativ to arrange a tracks?
uncreativ to set drums and effekts like you´ve allready done in your mind during a workflow?
uncreativ to let a beat played and you spending hours on the keyboard jamming until you get the one special note which will bring the whole song up?
the production could use up to 40 hours… very uncreativ

a good point you …
a good point you talking about. you have to think about a definition of creativity… what really creativity is?
creativity in my opinion is to express yourself in some way. either it´s music, art or books. but what is your beeing who are youself?
The sound comes from FL? have to say a very very simple declaration….
FL is only an instrument in which you work to build up what you are thinking about. every drum, note, effekt…. was in your mind befor you put in a sequencer

It’s more like …
It’s more like programation & computerization, there is a part of creativity for sure but not really in musicallity.
The sounds come from FL, the computer plays the sound & record it, it’s more like managing. I don’t think he placed microphones, chose preamps, musicians players, then find an EQ during dozen of hours, it’s entertainment, that’s why it will always sound the same for a lot of people…

you know how to use …
you know how to use fl studio but your whole music is the same sludge. every track sounds like the other tracks and that’s why your music is really boring. in many tracks you’ve set the filters and effects on a false place [sorry for my bad english] like in this track.
you think you are good in creating music but the only what you can is control fl studio.
Something is missing in your music!
I call it creativity and emotions.
