i just want some kind of software i can download off the internet for free, that can cut music and join songs together? its just for a school dance performance and i want to join all the bits of songs that i need together…
Is there a program that will do this?

I am wanting software that will let me record simple acoustic guitar, voice pieces and make music. I am wanting to add a little techno flair to my music to my songs. I personally like the finaille and the Vocaloid programs, but not the money at the moment to buy ether. I heard about something that is a free version of Vocaloid called pocaloid, anyone know anything about that?
Like Cody suggested, Audacity is a good choice for recording and editing, and it’s free.
Pocaloid is the name of the illegal version of the Vocaloid software whose coding has been cracked to allow unlimited use without purchase.
Software similar to Vocaloid is UTAU. It also allows you to create a voicebank by inputting your own voice, something that can’t be done with Vocaloid, and it’s freeware.

I’m a HUGE fan of Jodie Riviera (AKA VenetianPrincess on YouTube) and am positively dying to know what software she uses to make her remarkable music videos, etc. If no one knows for quite sure, can someone suggest a few products of possibly equal quality?

I have no concept of how to use more advanced music tools like Audiotool and LLMS - which use real-life techno gizmos which are incredibly complicated. I would like a free (NO DEMOS OR TRIALS), user-friendly program that allows me to make music - preferably techno / dance, but I am also interested in making more traditional music.
