Which music editing software should I get?

I want to see if I maybe have talent in music? I want to download music editing software for free to see if I’m any good, and I’ll probably want an autotune software compatible with the music editor.

if you want to simply record sounds through a microphone or direct line, then there are plenty of open source software programs online that can do that with varying sounds quality, such as audacity as the previous poster said. If you want to build multilayer tracks, or add, sounds, samples and use synthesizers to complement your own recordings, you need to get slightly more sophisticated software, such as cubase, magix (which i highly recommend for those just dabbling in music production), and if you want slightly pricier but extremely effective software, Native Instruments makes a huge line of music software with tons of presets and loops.

which music making software should i buy ?

i’m planning to make that type of techno that afrojack, sidney sampson, bart b more, etc etc whic is i think house and i wanna make fidget house and electro and hardstyle and maybe hardcore and of course dubstep. ohh and also hip-hop/rap and r&b. so which software is good to make all this type of music. i was planning to get fl studio 9 but some dude told me no i shouldn’t. so yeahh please help out. thanks (:
