Basically i want to start recording music, and incorporating audio changes and to be able to play with the vocals and instrumentals a bit, what is a cheap software i can purchase or a free one i can download? any ideas on the process?
RecordForAll is a great audio recording and editing application. You can overlay tracks and add effects. A free evaluation version is available for download from - http://www.recordforall.com
Please tell me where i can download the software for free
i googled it but couldn’t find any result
If not the full version i want just the demo version
to try the software out
It seems that they don’t provide free download trial. You need to sign up to get membership of sonic producer. For more information, visit here: http://abb27a00kb0940cj-gw6teuxd-.hop.clickbank.net/
Which ones are the best and why? Are there any other ones that are good as well?
According to your software choice, i prefer FL Studio not because i like it or use and and i don’t use Reason and Acid (I used all of the above softwares). The reason is this…..it is easy to use and supports most of anything mentioned in Cubase, Protools, Mixcraft etc, you create your own sounds, songs, beats, loops etc….comes with many effects where you can tweak sounds to get perfect quality sounds….u’ll get the hang of it.
Ok Reason rely more on hardware so it is best to have a midi keyboard in order to get the best use out of it….sound quality is way better, comes with its own sound factory with different a format. so reasons sounds just for reason….u know what i mean? although its possible to use sounds from reason with other software through rewire, etc…..thats another story
Acid relies more on loops, although you dont have to have loops, it is best for someone with bunch of loops ready for mixing. doesnt come with sounds, loops….u have to get them seperately. this software i use for remix most of the time.
I want to be a professional musician and so I’m starting small and planning on buying a high quality mic(suggestions appreciated) and the best music recording/editing software. *under 100 dollars* I just want something I can start out with but has really great features and easy to use. I’m new to music editing and recording but not a new musician.
I used Audacity(c). It’s easily downloaded and easy to use. I would’n't really consider it "professional," but its good at recording, merging, and editing audio, which is the same as music. And the best thing is: IT’S FREE!
I bought a laptop 5 days ago to use with my audio editing and production software and hardware. The Laptop has the correct specification for the software and hardware or so I thought but the program I use, Pro Tools doesn’t run smoothly on it. There are other problems too like it heats up more so than any other laptop I have ever used. And the built-in audio inputs (headphone) which I only use for domestic use don’t work, I think the sound card is disconnected from the motherboard. And to round it all off, I was pressured into buying a £14.99 recovery disc from PC World as I was told I would need it in the future. When I got home and started up the laptop I realised my laptop gave me the option to burn a copy of the recovery disc as it was already on a partition of the hardrive. I’m not happy out of being conned by such a huge retailer.
Anyway I was wondering if I could return the laptop for a refund as I may just buy a second hand laptop and have it upgraded to the max.
return it as not working (headphone sockets) as "not of merchantable quality" under the sale of goods act (go google it, some CAB and which magazine advice is out there).
the 14.99 they will refund (I know from past experience)
You could also argue "not fit for purpose" as you "did" mention at the time of purchase what you would use it for… (do not let on you made any personal assessment..or that that means the shop was not making the advice/assessment).
I think comet will happily take it back on a PR basis, as it is new and clean and otherwise undamaged. Don’t make a big fuss.. just take it back, and speak quietly and to the point.. when they accept.. .don’t be labour the point. Just wait and thank them for their help, and that you will happily choose/recommend them in the future given the simple way it was to bring it back under the circumstances.
Job Done.
